ConverseLingo was born from a simple observation: existing translation tools were not built for real conversations. They handle single sentences well but stumble when two people need to go back and forth in real time\u2014especially in noisy, stressful, or low-connectivity environments where the stakes are high.
Our story
We started ConverseLingo after watching a traveler struggle to explain a severe food allergy at a restaurant counter. The generic translator on their phone gave a rough approximation, but no one could tell whether the translation was accurate enough for a medical situation. The moment demanded precision, confidence cues, and the ability to correct on the spot.
That experience shaped our core belief: translation is not about converting words\u2014it is about enabling understanding between people. We built a turn-based conversation mode that shows both languages side by side, flags uncertain terms, and lets either speaker slow down, repeat, or choose an alternative before moving on.
Today, ConverseLingo serves travelers, immigrants, multilingual families, and frontline service workers in hospitality, healthcare, and retail. Our hybrid on-device and cloud pipeline adapts to connectivity, and downloadable offline language packs ensure the conversation never has to stop.
